Hi, My name is Anne. I'm a certified ergonomic evaluator, personal trainer and health coach.
I take a somatic approach to office ergonomics and desk posture.
I created The Posture Scan for Desk Workers because I've worked with so many people (and I've been one myself) who struggle with the brain fog and ultimate burnout that comes with a sedentary job.
And I know from personal and professional experience that reestablishing good body alignment helps release chronic muscle tension that underlies this bleary state endured by many all-day office workers.

I am certified as an Ergonomics Assessment Specialist and have decades of experience helping people improve posture and reduce or eliminate chronic musculoskeletal pain.
This is different for different people; it's not possible to predict when or even if you'll fully achieve freedom from pain as you work, total comfort as you compute or stellar posture. Factors that determine success include but are not limited to:
1. The frequency with which you do the Posture Scan.
2. Any existing, ingrained posture and movement habits you bring to the experience.
3. The presence of any medical conditions whether diagnosed or not.
4. Other factors.
I've found through decades of personal and professional experience with this work - which takes a somatic approach - that short durations of the Posture Scan techniques repeated frequently throughout the week gets the best results.
